The Anonymous Sudan group active since January 2023 purports to be an authentic hactivist collective linked to Sudan. However research by CyberCX suggests that the group is falsely trying to represent a link to a 2019 operation carried out by the 'Anonymous' hacking collective.
Instead, researchers suggest that Anonymous Sudan is unlikely to be geographically linked to Sudan and instead is pursuing a pro-Russian agenda.
